Buzzfeed Campus
Looking to establish the media side of its company in Los Angeles, BuzzFeed sought out various blocks of empty warehouses in Hollywood to call home. BDG performed various master plans and feasibility studies at multiple location options, as well as full architectural and interior design services to make the final campus a reality.
At over 150,000 sf with 15 small stages, the BuzzFeed Campus is the blueprint for an internet content company. Meeting spaces large and small, hundreds of “light editing” stations, phone booths, lounges, and dense rows of workstations fill the interiors for a fast-paced, creative and contemporary work environment. The Campus also features a commissary and an outdoor “backlot” where content can be filmed quickly, impromptu and with a variety of backdrops to suit the media needs.
In addition to media production, BuzzFeed is known for its popular “Tasty” program. BDG designed the Tasty home within this campus and it features 12 “kitchens” for shooting its birds’ eye cooking style, along with a commercial prep kitchen and bus station.
