CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

  • We are looking for a full-time Project Architect to join our growing and fast-paced team in an architectural role focused on projects of varying scales and technical complexities. Project Architects are the leaders of developing architectural plans and will work hand-in-hand with Project Managers and the design team to create exceptional projects. A Project Architect should have extensive knowledge of the building process, from conceptual design through construction, and be able to apply architectural principles, practices and techniques consistently and with exploratory drive. The right person for this role will be an excellent communicator, strategic thinker and collaborative problem solver, as well as have significant experience in code analysis and detailing/documentation. A candidate needs to be able to work independently and collaboratively, with a passion for craft and an eye for detail and quality.

    We are looking for someone that thrives in the multi-dimensional, problem-solving environment of our industry. This position is also expected to engage in the activities and advancement of the studio, as well as providing positive support, mentorship and training to junior staff.

    This position is available at either our Los Angeles, Colorado Springs or Madrid offices.

    Responsibilities

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture

    • License required for Project Architect (unlicensed applicants will be considered for the title Project Captain II)

    • 8-15+ years of experience for Project Architect / Senior Project Architect

    • Software experience required to include BIM, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite

    • ArchiCAD and AutoCAD experience is preferred

    • Ability to work both independently and in teams

    • Excellent organizational skills

    • Detailed and technical drafting skills

    • An astute eye for design sensibilities

    • Strong redlining skills to provide clear direction to teams

    • Knowledge of agency processing and code compliance

  • We are looking for a full-time Architectural Designer to join our growing and dynamic team. Designers in our firm are responsible for the successful production of drawing sets, presentations, and design concepts. They work both independently and in teams, depending upon project scale. Designers at Bell Design Group are exposed to the entirety of the architectural process and are expected to contribute to the ideation and conversation for their projects and the studio. Our goal is to engage exceptional talent and grow the skills necessary for lifelong success in an architectural career.     Responsibilities

    • Design conceptualization

    • Drawing set production

    • Working with 3D models and 2D representations

    • Specification and documentation of FF&E

    • Mood boards and graphic presentations

    • Construction detailing and agency submissions

    • Code research and compliance

    • Coordination and collaboration with team members

    • Assistance with project documentation

    • Generation of furniture plans, FF&E manuals, schedules, and more

    Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

    • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture

    • 1-4 years of experience

    • Software Experience to include 3D modeling and Adobe Creative Suite at a minimum

    • BIM experience is preferred; ArchiCAD and AutoCAD experience is a bonus

    • Ability to work both independently and in teams

    • Basic organizational skills

    • Varied experience with desire to learn

    • Experience includes engagement in the architectural process outside of the academic environment

    • Must be knowledgeable of the conventional aspects of architecture

    • Must understand basic structural and MEP engineering concepts

  • We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator / Manager (DOE) to dynamically contribute to our marketing efforts and team. The Marketing Coordinator will have a key role in the promotion and growth of our studio. This position will be responsible for coordination and oversight of marketing events, such as conferences, as well as management of project data, CRM, schedules, and task management related to marketing efforts. Production of awards submissions, as well as the critical component of creating proposals in response to RFQ/Ps, is also part of the position’s responsibilities. Being able to collaborate with both administrative and project teams, as well as our public relations team, is important. The position is largely administrative with a desire to grow towards a broader leadership role. Having a creative eye, graphic design skills, excellent writing skills, and industry experience is preferred to support the ability to grow in this position, but is not required at the onset.

    This position may be located at either our Los Angeles or Colorado Springs office, with the option for a hybrid schedule to work partially remote.

    Typical Starting Responsibilities

    • Oversee day-to-day marketing activities, including file management, communications, project data organization, etc.

    • Coordinate with other marketing team members to ensure timely and quality production of assets, as well as support studio leadership in achieving marketing and business development goals

    • Manage marketing tasks and coordinate with those responsible for completion

    • Actively track and manage contacts, leads and pursuits using the CRM (Deltek Vantagepoint)

    • Review RFPs/RFPs on a weekly basis and coordinate selection of pursuits with the leadership team

    • Manage and produce proposals in response to RFPs/RFQs – involves research, writing, asset gathering, internal and external team coordination, and use of Adobe InDesign

    • Identify opportunities for awards, conferences, etc. and prepare submissions, applications and booths

    • Maintain the financial budgets for the marketing department in conjunction with the Principals

    Required Qualifications

    • 4-8+ years of experience in marketing, journalism, administration at a professional services/creative firm, and/or architecture/related fields

    • A passion for the built environment, storytelling and the creative arts

    • Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office proficiency required; Bluebeam and Deltek Vantagepoint preferred

    • Strong communication skills – verbal, visual and written

    • Exceptional organizational, time and task management skills

    • Flexible, creative, informed and exploratory approach

    • Efficient and able to take initiative
