Luna Luna
Luna Luna is an art amusement park that first emerged in Hamburg, Germany in 1987. Packed away into shipping containers and rediscovered in Texas, Luna Luna re-emerged in Los Angeles to bring the unique carnival experience back to life. Artists include Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Favid Hockney, and more. Featuring rides, displays, and interactive experiences, the carnival was rebuilt inside a production studio, also designed by BDG, in the Boyle Heights neighborhood. BDG’s scope was to acquire a change of use permit for the building, as well as make the carnival/art show compliant with accessibility codes.
