JIANXIN SUN

Jianxin Sun, originally from Beijing, China, joined Bell Design Group in 2015. Having started as a Project Captain, he quickly became a leader in the studio’s extensive experience on affordable housing, working with prominent developers in Los Angeles and across the country.  Jianxin now, as BDG’s Director of Housing, oversees all publicly-funded projects within the firm. With a special focus on rehabilitations, Jianxin leads the charge in improving and creating hundreds of affordable housing units every year for low-income, special needs and disinvested communities.

Jianxin’s interest in architecture began in 2001 when Beijing won the bid to host the 2008 Olympics and he witnessed a surge of construction in his hometown over the following years. His passion for architecture stems from the belief that every building possesses its own unique character and should not only reflect the vision of the architect, but more importantly, embodies the culture of the city in which it stands.

Jianxin is active member of SCANPH and has had his work recognized through awards  such as the Los Angeles Business Council Architectural Award, IIDA Calibre Design Award, Interior Design Best of Year Award, and many others.
